After two years Ramotsava music rings in

Sri Ramaseva Mandali Charitable Trust, Mysore North, is having it’s 28th Sri Ramanavami Cultural Festival from April 3 to 12 at Sri Prasanna Parvati Kalyana Mantapa, V.V. Mohalla, adjacent to Sri Chandramouliswara Temple. As usual in the mornings, Abhisheka, Navagraha Japa, Parayana etc.

Ritualistic pujas will be there from 9 am to 11 am by Ve. Br. Sri Shashidhar Sastry & group.

Daily between 5.15 pm and 6.15 pm, upcoming artistes of the city will showcase their talent and from 6.15 pm to 9 pm, established artistes will entertain and enlighten the audience.

On April 3 at 6 pm, Sri Ramanavami series will be inaugurated & Veteran Vid. S. Shankar will be honoured by conferring the title ‘Sangita Kalaradhaka’ for his dedication to music.

It will be followed by his vocal concert. He will be accompanied by Sindhu Suchetan on violin, A. Radhesh on  mridanga and V.S. Ramesh on morching. Programme is sponsored by Tyagaraja Sangeetha Sabha.

On April 4 at 5.15 pm, Rakesh Iyer with Prithvi Bhaskar and Nandan Kashyap will give his vocal concert. At 6.15 pm, Sindhu Suchetan & H.M. Smitha will give vocal duet concert accompanied by Prithvi Bhaskar on violin, Tumkur B. Ravishankar on mridanga and Sharath Kaushik on ghata. Sri Tyagaraja Sangita Sabha, Mysuru, are the sponsors.

On April 5 at 5.15 pm, M.S. Keerthana with C.V. Shruti and Nandan Kashyap will perform with her vocal concert. At 6.15 pm, Dr. S.V. Sahana will give her veena concert while Arjun Kumar on mridanga & G.S. Ramanujan on ghata will be the accompanists. Sponsors are Sudha and Ramprasad.

On April 6 at 5.15 pm, G.R. Ananya will give her vocal performance with Amogh & Shubhang as accompanists. At 6.15 pm, Kunnakkudi M. Balamuralikrishna will be giving a vocal concert being accompanied by Mattur R. Srinidhi on violin, B.C. Manjunath on mridanga and C.P. Vyasa Vittala on kanjira. Sponsors being Pragati Glyoxal Pvt. Ltd. and late K.V. Murthy.

On April 7 at 5.15 pm, Mahati Raghuram on vocal will be accompanied by Prithvi Bhaskar and Nandan Kashyap. At 6.15 pm, Jayamangala Krishnamani will present vocal concert along with H.V. Raghuram on violin, H.L. Shivashankarswamy on mridanga & M.R. Manjunath on ghata. Sponsors are SMT, T.R. Harish and SPVGMC Trust.

On April 8 at 5.15 pm, G. Raghava will play saxophone while C.V. Shruti and M.V. Ajay Kumar will support on violin & thavil respectively. At 6.15 pm, T.V. Ramprasadh will give a vocal concert being accompanied by Vybhav Ramani on violin, C. Cheluvaraju on mridanga and Raghunandana Rao on ghata. Sponsored by Mahajana Education Society, Dr. Vijayalakshmi and Muralidhara Bhagavath.

On April 9 at 10 am, M. Nishanth will give vocal concert accompanied by Mysore M. Sumanth on violin, Nikshith Puttur on mridanga and V.S. Ramesh on morching. Sri Chandramoulishwara Devastanam Charitable Trust are sponsoring.

At 5.15 pm, Medha Manjunath, along with Mohan Keshava Kumar and Nandan Kashyap, will give her vocal concert while at 6.15 pm, a unique jugalbandi with Dr. Jyotsna on violin and Dr. Ravindra Katoti on harmonium they are being supported by H.S. Sudheendra on mridanga and Gurumurthy Vaidya on tabla. Sponsored by Dr. Jagannath Shenoy.

On April 10 at 5.15 pm, Hindustani vocal will be performed by Sandhya Bhat and Vighnesh Bhagwat & Arjun Kali Prasad will give her Saath. At 6.15 pm, vocal concert by Aishwarya Vidya Raghunath accompanied by Dr. Jyotsna Srikanth on violin, B.S. Prashanth on mridanga and R. Srinidhi Koundinya on ghata. Varasiddhi Vinayaka Charitable Trust & KSN Prasad will be sponsoring the prog.

On April 11 at 5.15 pm, J. Poorvi with Pt. J. Niranjan and Pt. Parameswar Hegde as accompanists will give a Hindustani vocal concert. At 6.15 pm, R. Suryaprakash gives a vocal concert and will be supported on violin by Vybhav Ramani, on mridanga by Anoor Anantha Krishna Sharma and on ghata by Sharath Kaushik. Sponsored by T. Chowdiah Smaraka Ramaseva Samithi Founder K. Srikantaiah.

On April 12, morning there will be Sita Sahasranama & Sri Rama Pattabhisheka, Mangalarati by 11 am. At 5.15 pm, Varun will present flute concert while C.V. Shruti & Shubhang will accompany him. At 6.15 pm, the series will conclude with a Harikatha by Yaghnesh H. Suratkal and party. Sposored by C.K. Sabareeshan and K. Mahesh Chittoor.
