The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) – Mysore Chapter, had organised a two-day seminar on the topic “Guardians of Governance – The Board & KMPs” at Hotel Rio Meridian in city recently.

Rajendran, Chief General Manager, BEML Aerospace Division, who was the chief guest, inaugurated the seminar.

The sessions covered various topics on Company Law such as Secretarial Standards for Governance, Rights, Duties & Responsibilities of Directors of Listed & Unlisted Companies, Raising of Share Capital, Borrowings, Related Party transactions, Board Diversity & Board Evaluation etc.

V.J. Balakrishnan, Chairman, ICSI Mysore Chapter, welcomed. S. Manjunath, Secretary, ICSI Mysore, proposed a vote of thanks. M. Pracheta, Vice-Chairperson, ICSI Mysore, coordinated the seminar. M.J.Veerash, Treasurer, ICSI Mysore, anchored.

In the valedictory session, Dr. N.R. Parasuraman, Director, SDM-IMD, was the chief guest. The session was attended by delegates from Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
