Mysuru: International Urdu Poet Anwar Jalalpuri, who compered the All India Urdu Mushaira at Palace Grounds in Bengaluru on Saturday, was in Mysuru on Friday.

After visiting the Mysore Palace and other tourist centres, he proceeded to the tomb of Hazrath Tipu Sulthan at Gumbad-e-Shahi in Srirangapatna and paid floral tributes. Later, he met Hazrath Moulana Mohamed Anwar Ahmed Saheb Nizami, General Secretary, Azeezia Educational Trust near Kantharaj Urs Park in Lashkar Mohalla.

Corporator and Member of Karnataka State Haj Committee Suhail Baig felicitated the Urdu poet with a Mysore Peta.  Social Worker Shakeel Ahmed Khan was also present on the occasion.
