6,000 houses sanctioned for the shelterless in KR Constituency: Minister

Mysore/Mysuru: PWD Minister C.C. Patil said that the Union Government has sanctioned 6,000 houses for the shelterless in KR Constituency of the city.

He was speaking after taking part on the eighth day of the nine-day  ‘Modi Yug Utsav-2022’ event organised by KR MLA S.A. Ramdas at Ramalingeshwara Park in Vidyaranyapuram here on Saturday.

Noting that Ramdas has planned to make KR Constituency as shelterless people-free in one year, Patil said that the MLA had strived hard to get 6,000 houses sanctioned by the Union Government for his Constituency.

Contending that perhaps   Ramdas is the only MLA in the State who has been successful in getting such a big number of houses sanctioned by the Centre, the Minister said that the country has become stronger and secure under the leadership of Modi.

The PWD Department will execute all works coming under its purview in KR Constituency and Mysuru district for which Rs. 278 crore has been released, he added.

MLA Ramdas said that he has been working overtime to ensure that the benefits and facilities under various schemes of the Union and State Governments reach the door step of targeted beneficiaries without any hurdles.

Pointing out that various road works worth Rs. 50 crore is currently going on in KR Constituency, Ramdas said that plastic wastes is being converted into cluster plastics at Bengaluru, which will be used for asphalting  Narasaraja Road that runs from the District Courts complex to Ashoka Circle (Ballal Circle), at a cost of Rs. 4 crore. This will be first road in the State where cluster plastics is used, he added.

Minister Patil distributed various benefits and facilities to targeted beneficiaries of KR Constituency on the occasion.

KR BJP Office-bearers Vadivelu, Nagendra and Om Srinivas, District Employment Exchange Assistant Director D.N. Rani, MCC Additional Commissioner M.J. Roopa, PWD Officials Ganesh Bhovi, Raju and Krishnaiah, Executive Engineer Harish, Ashraya Samiti members and others were present.
