PUC not only a turning point for students but to families as well: A.H. Vishwanath

July 16, 2017

Mysuru: PUC is not only a turning point to students but to their family members as well, said former MP A.H. Vishwanath here recently.

He was speaking after inaugurating a meritorious students’ felicitation programme organised by Savitha Sangharsha Samiti at Rotary Centre on JLB Road.

Previously, PUC was considered to be a turning point only for students but today it is also a turning point to their families. Parents would have dreamt of their wards excelling in studies to join engineering, medical and other courses of their choice and coming out in flying colours to take over the burden of family responsibilities, he said.

The former MP also added that since PUC was the minimum qualification to apply for many Government jobs, it was important for the students to study hard.

Stating that the students must always respect their parents, Vishwanath said that it was the duty of children to take care of their parents in their old age.

Later, the Samithi felicitated M. Shresta, Rahul Srinivas, Meera, Tejaswini N. Murthy, Priyanka and M. Vijay Kumar for excelling in PUC examination held during the previous academic year and J. Amrutha, S. Nithya, Surya, Lakshmidevi, Abhigan, Nikith Satish, Vinutha and Uday for excelling in  SSLC examination.

Corporators Suneel Kumar and M.V. Ramprasad, Savitha Sangharsha Samiti President V. Manjunath, Hon. President Ramprakash, Samiti Member M. Rajanna and others were present.
