Mysore/Mysuru: Prof. N. Usha Rani, former Professor of Journalism and Mass Communication, University of Mysore, has been nominated as a member of Karnataka State Education Council under the category of Academic Expert for a period of five years.
She is among the ten academicians who have been nominated by the State Government as members of the prestigious Council.
Prof. Usha Rani has served as Director, EMRC, Dean of Faculty of Arts and Coordinator of UGC-UPE Project. She was awarded ICSSR Senior Professor Fellowship and has served the Department of Journalism for over three decades. The other nominated members are: Debashish Chatterjee, CEO and MD of Bengaluru’s Mindtree Limited, Prof. T.V. Kattimani, Vice-Chancellor of Central Tribal University, Visakhapatnam, Prof. Jogan Shankar, former VC of Kuvempu University, Shivamogga, Ameen E. Mudassar, Founder CEO of CIGMA, Prof.Meena Chandavarkar, former VC of Akkamahadevi University,Vijayapura, N.S. Srinath, Managing Director of MERCK Life Sciences, Prof. Anurag Bihar, former VC of Azim Premji University, Bengaluru, Ajay Prabhu, President of Christ Global, Bengaluru and Raghavendra Krishnamurthy, Chief Strategy Officer, Bosch Global Software, Bengaluru.
