Leopards trapped in Mysuru, Pandavapura

Mysuru/Pandavapura: Two leopards, one each in Mysuru and Pandavapura, have been trapped in cages placed by the Forest  Department.

While one male leopard, aged about five years was trapped in the cage at Madhavagere village in Mysuru taluk yesterday morning, another leopard was trapped at Chikkakoppal village in Pandavapura taluk yesterday afternoon. This is the third leopard to be trapped in  Mysuru taluk recently.

While the leopard trapped at Madhavagere was released into a forest area after the veterinarian examined it and confirmed that it was healthy, the leopard caught at Chikkakoppal, would be released into Nagarahole or Bandipur Forests after seeking permission from the higher officials.
