Mysore/Mysuru: Ranga has organised staging of the one-woman Kannada play ‘Sakubai’ on Apr. 29 at  Kirurangamandira in Kalamandira premises at 7 pm.

Addressing a press conference at Pathrakartara Bhavan yesterday, Nudi Ranga President S.R. Sudarshan said that prior to the play, a stage function will be held at 6.15 pm where former Director of Rangayana Mysuru, C. Basavalingaiah will inaugurate the first show of the play.

Sangeet Natak Akademi award recipient and senior theatre person Nadira Babbar will be the chief guest. 

Dr. D.S. Chougale, who has translated the play to Kannada, will be present.

Nudi Sudarshan of Mysuru, who is working as an Engineer, is returning to theatre through this play (1 hour and 20 minutes). Ticket is priced at Rs. 100.

Director Hulugappa Kattimani, Secretary Ramachandra Giri and writer Srividya were present.
