After Hublot, Siddu’s new Rado watch starts ticking !

May 22, 2023

Bengaluru: Even as his expensive Hublot watch controversy still lingers in the minds of many people, Chief Minister Siddharamaiah, who was sworn-in as the Chief Minister for the second time only on Saturday, has once again caught the attention of the media as his new Rado watch has started ticking now!

He was seen flaunting a flashy new Rado wristwatch, said to have been gifted to him by his wife Parvathi, at a party event to observe former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi’s 32nd death anniversary here on Sunday.

It is said, when CM Siddharamaiah showed off his new Rado wristwatch to Minister M.B. Patil, who was sitting to his left, Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, who was sitting to his right, grew curious. He also held Siddharamaiah’s hand to have a closer look at the new watch.

Minister Patil later told reporters that the watch was gifted to Siddharamaiah by his (Siddu) wife. “That is why he was looking at it with so much love. I told him to wear only this watch going forward,” he pointed out.

During his earlier stint as the CM (2013 – 2018), Siddharamaiah was at the centre of controversy over a diamond-encrusted Hublot watch, worth about Rs. 70 lakh, that he said was gifted to him by a Dubai-based friend.

It may be recalled that the incident was given a quiet burial when the CM handed over the watch to the then Speaker K.B. Koliwad through  a declaration.

However, the former Deputy Superintendent of Police Anupama Shenoy had then alleged that the CM (Siddu) had taken the watch as bribe in exchange for passing two projects. She had also demanded that the watch, which is now in the possession of the Government, be protected.

    Hello @citizenvoter
“CM who came from Samajavaadi background is flaunting his luxury possesion, be it a watch, 1 cr car and what not..”
Show me an Indian, who does not want expensive watch, car, and shiny new iPhone of the latest brand, and who tries his best to take bribes to have them. It is in Indian gene-a genetic abnormality, which wants luxury goods.
BTW, have you seen the CHAI BOY OF AHMEDABAD RAILWAYSTATION OF THOSE DAYS-NARENDRA MODI, and what expeive tastes he hs? I guess not!! Because, his goonda saffron friends surrounding him threaten any journalist who publishes Narendra Modi’s expensive tastes.
In case, Indian dimwits like you do not know, only after the death of Vajapayee, a few detials of his expensive tastes, including the expensive whiskey he wanted every night, claiming as a bachelor, but living with a married woman who was not his sister, ang shoering her with gifts! Aall the time, he was going around the country claiming how honest he was compared to Congrees leaders. I have no doubt, Modi is similar to him.
When Modi is out of India, travelling to the West, on a boastful bull shit circuit, one can see his expesive tastes, like his watches, his dozens of expensive footwear etc,.. etc..The earstwhile chai boy has done very well indeed!!

Interesting Subai connection. In that partch of the Gulf States, the resident Indians, mostly Muslims from Kerala and others, run a lucrative business in fake designer goods . They are the power behind the gold smuggling into Kerala and Hawaala money channel, which has expanded to cover Mysore. The Mysore-Bangalore highway is a God-sent oopotunities for them to expand the gold distribution and Hawaala scams along the Mysore-Bangalore corridor.
The above so called businessmen, also met Narendra Modi, last year, when he stooped over in the UAE, returning from the observer in the G7 meeting in Munich.Modi, promsed them that he will approve UAE-MYSORE non-stop flights, when the Mysore A irport expands and is ready to receive A320/Boeing 737 jet liners.
The above so called Indian busiessmen in the Gulf Stes are very rich, and this Hublot watch expains it. One wonders what Modi received for his promise of the above non-stop flights, which will make these busiessmen richers still.
Indians have the propensity to show off expensive items. The so called Sintly Sudha Murty, has his daughtere married to the Punjabi-descent Rishi Sunak, who spent his dowry cash to move up as the PM of the Uk ( he faces a massive defeat in the elections next year). The saintly Sudha Murty’s daughter, besides wearing expensive itallian footwar, costing the mothly salary of a skilled British worker, she has an expsive taste in pottery -that is things like cups , saucers , plates and mugs, each costing a weakly salary of a skilled British worker.
Like Siddu, the Murty’s daughter and son in law , are out of touch with the ordinary people. While, it worked for Siddu, it is not working for the PM of Uk-Sudha Murty’s son in law, as he is trashed as an out of touch git, and faces defeat in the eparliament elections, and will be out of power in 2024.
