Mysuru: The Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) fake marks card racket is taking a new turn every day. The CCB Police, who are investigating the racket, took three members of the KSOU Non-Teaching Staff Association into custody yesterday.
Suspecting that they are also involved in the degree and post-graduate degrees fake marks cards case, the Police are interrogating them. They are also looking into their mobile call recordings. Since one of the prime persons in the Association was subjected to interrogation, his relatives, supporters and friends had gathered in front of the CCB office yesterday. The incident is taking a more serious turn, in the light of five persons including Yashaswini being arrested, followed by three more persons, that too in the KSOU office itself, being taken into custody.
Meanwhile, the sprawling KSOU campus with swanky buildings on Mysuru-Hunsuru Road which draws the attention of everyone passing by, is wearing a deserted look. The lives of more than three lakh Open University students is at stake and it is sad to see that nothing much is happening except assurances being given by the University authorities.
I think KSOU is totally gone out of order today, except for the palatial buildings and few administrators, teaching and non-teaching staff are wandering here and there. Looks like even the Karnataka Govt is not bothered about this and UGC is quite happy by not giving any recognition to KSOU till today. It is really a sorry state of affairs at KSOU and it looks like a GRAVE YARD. Fake marks cards, Fake transactions, all fake, fake, fake.
It is really a matter of great shame. Why these problems were not there earlier and when & why these problems started. God only knows the truth.
As A. J. GARDINER SAYS “GOD SEES THE TRUTH BUT WAITS”, Only the ALMIGHTY should protect KSOU from the clutches of culprits.
