Extend health fund benefit for family members of journalists

Mysore/Mysuru: The Mysore District Journalists Association (MDJA) has appealed the                              Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) to extend the Rs. 50 lakh health fund now available to MDJA journalist-members, to their family members also.

The MDJA submitted a memorandum in this regard to Mayor Shivakumar, MCC Commissioner G. Lakshmikantha Reddy and MCC Finance Standing Committee Chairman R. Nagaraj at the MCC Office here on Wednesday. The MCC, in its budget (2023-24) presented recently, had hiked the Journalists health fund from Rs.25 lakh to Rs. 50 lakh. MDJA President S.T. Ravikumar, General Secretary M. Subramanya, Executive Committee member A. Krishnoji Rao were present.
