Mysore/Mysuru: Air Commodore Lalit Kumar Jain assumed the Command as Air Officer Commanding and President of 2 Air Force Selection Board (AFSB), Mysuru, on Sept. 1.

Air Cmde. L.K. Jain is an alumnus of National Defence Academy (NDA) and was commissioned in the Flying (Navigation) branch of the Indian Air Force in 1990. He has flying experience of over 4,000 hours on a variety of aircraft that includes Canberra, IL-76 and Avro.

He has been Chief Navigation Instructor at Navigation Training School and Head of Department at College of Defence Management. He was  Station Commodore of an Air Force Station in Mumbai and commanded at missile squadron in Srinagar, J&K. He was Group Commander of National Cadet Corps (NCC) in Nagpur and also served as Deputy Director General of NCC, Karnataka and Goa Directorate and Rajasthan Directorate.
