Vivekananda Institute of Indian Studies (VIIS), a unit of Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement (SVYM), in association with Swaralayam Arts Forum, Houston, USA, has organised a Karnatak Classical Music Competition for students in the age group of 13 to 22 years at its premises in KIADB Industrial Housing Area, Hebbal Ring Road, Mysuru, on Sept. 22. Competition will be held in Instruments and Vocal categories and contestants should present a kruti with brief Manodharma in 6 minutes, according to a press release from VIIS Director Dr. Rekha Shanmukha.
