Mysore/Mysuru: The II PUC annual examination-2 for the year 2024 began this morning across the State. The exams will be held till May 16.

In Mysuru district, the exam  is being held at 13 centres — 7 of them in city and the remaining 6 at various taluks.

A total of 8,674 students are appearing for the PU exam-2.

The Department of PU Education has made elaborate arrangements for the smooth conduct of the exam.

Officials  deputed by the Department Chief Superintendent, Question Paper Custodian, Vigilance Staff and Flying Squads are monitoring the examination process to ensure they are conducted in an organised manner without any scope for malpractices.

Section 144 has been imposed 200 metres around all  the exam centres and Xerox shops near the centres have been closed.

CESC has been instructed to ensure that there is no disruption in power supply during the examination hours.
