Mysore/Mysuru: The two-day decennial celebrations of Mysore School of Architecture (MSA) – Namma MSA Habba – will be held from May 11 at MSA Auditorium in the institute’s premises, University Layout, Dattagalli.
Addressing media persons at Pathrakarthara Bhavan on Wednesday, L.K. Memorial Charitable Trust Trustee Dr. K.V. Lakshmi Devi said that Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) Vice-Chancellor Dr. S. Vidyashankar will be the chief guest and inaugurate the programme at 4 pm while VTU Regional Director Dr. T.P. Renuka Murthy will be guest of honour.
The valedictory of the two-day event will be held on May 12 at 5 pm. KR MLA T.S. Srivatsa will be the chief guest. L.K. Memorial Charitable Trust Managing Trustee J.N. Prashanth and Trustee Dr. K.V. Lakshmi Devi will be present.
The institute has organised a series of events such as Logo Interpretation Workshop, Demonstration on Rain Water Harvesting, Micro Art Workshop, Origami Workshop, Photography Workshop, Typography Workshop, Wood Burning Art Workshop and competitions like Bridge O Mania, Hook Step, Debate, Gaming, Ideathon for Model Govt. School, Painting, Photography, Power Yoga, Quiz, Scavengers Hunt, Short Film, Sketching and Treasure Hunt for college students. Talent Hunt for various age categories from 8 years and above has also been organised.
Cultural programmes by singer Amulya and team of SaReGaMaPa fame, Bhara-tanatyam by Kumar Performing Arts Centre Founder Dr. Kumar, Fashion Show, Trinity College of London’s Band Infinity, Orchestra by GSS School of Music, Comedy Sketch by Aathmanand and Group, Yakshagana will be held in the evening. The event is open for students, professionals and design enthusiasts of Mysuru.
