Newly elected MLC Vivekananda promises to address teachers’ issues

June 10, 2024

Mysore/Mysuru: Asserting that he would take steps for addressing issues bothering the teaching community, newly elected South Teachers Constituency BJP-JD(S) coalition NDA MLC K. Vivekananda  said that he would dedicate his victory to the teaching fraternity who have elected him by  a huge margin.

He was speaking after being felicitated by the BJP City and District Units at the BJP Office in Chamarajapuram here recently.

Maintaining that he would try his best to fulfill all the promises that he had made to the teachers, he assured that he would be in regular touch with the teachers for resolving their problems and work for their welfare.

Thanking the workers of the BJP and the JD(S) for their untiring efforts in ensuring his victory, Vivekananda said that his big victory was a reply to those who questioned him about his chances of victory against the Congress candidate who was an old war horse, winning the seat for four successive terms. The blessings and the support of leaders of both the parties helped me a lot in winning the polls, he said.

City BJP President and former MLA L. Nagendra said that the coalition candidate won with a huge margin because of the concerted efforts by workers of the BJP and the JD(S).

All the workers who strove for ensuring Vivekananda’s victory must be credited for their hard work, he said, adding that Vivekananda should raise his voice in favour of National Education Policy (NEP)-2020 and for the cause of the teaching community.

Former MLC Thontadarya said that the name Vivekananda itself is an inspiration for teachers. Vivekananda’s victory is a historic one considering the fact that he won by such a huge margin, he added.
