Karnataka to send elephants to AP

Mysore/Mysuru: A Railway employee was killed after a KSRTC bus hit the electric scooter he was riding at Devaraj Urs Road-JLB Road Junction here this morning.

The deceased has been identified as Shivakumar (58).

At about 7.15 am today, Shivakumar was proceeding on his electric scooter on D. Devaraj Urs Road towards the old DC Office. It is learnt that the traffic signal lights at the Junction was not functioning.

When Shivakumar was crossing the JLB Road to go towards the old Deputy Commissioner Office, the KSRTC bus, which came from Ramaswamy Circle side, hit the electric scooter resulting in Shivakumar sustaining serious injuries.

Though he was rushed to K.R. Hospital, he succumbed to injuries at the Hospital. Devaraja Traffic Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
