Ekalavya leads rehearsal

Eight Dasara elephants, led by debutant Ekalavya, being familiarised on the ‘Jumboo Savari’ route in city yesterday morning. The Dasara jumbos left the Palace and reached the Torchlight Parade Grounds in Bannimantap by covering the distance in 1.05 hours. While Forest Department personnel accompanied the Dasara elephants, City Police provided security besides preventing motorists and people from moving closer to the elephants. Kanjan, who is suffering from leg pain, was rested in the morning, but took part in the training in the evening.
