Dasara Sports: Athletes vie for supremacy

Mysuru: Athletes taking part in this year’s Dasara Sports seem to have drawn inspiration from Indian Men’s Hockey Team Captain Harmanpreet Singh with them putting in extra effort to win medals at the Chamundi Vihar Stadium.

In the men’s freestyle (400 mts) swimming, Bengaluru’s Darshan won the gold followed by V. Dhruva (Bengaluru) silver and Smaran Sujith (Belagavi) bronze medal. In the women’s category, Shamanvi H. Gowda of Bengaluru won the gold, V. Preetha (Bengaluru) silver and Lipika Dev of Chikkaballapura won the bronze medal.
