Mysuru: The 36th Edition of NR Golf Open Championship & 10th Edition of JWGC-NR Match Play Championship were held at Jayachamaraja Wadiyar Golf Club (JWGC) in city from Dec. 13 to 15.

The Championship marked a significant milestone, with golfers witnessing a dynamic shift with the introduction of an exciting 36-hole format, expanding from the traditional 24-hole competition.

The tournament began with a ceremonial tee-off by Arjun Ranga, Managing Director of Cycle Pure Agarbathi, at JWGC on Dec. 13 and concluded with the prize distribution ceremony at MRC Club House in city  on Dec. 15.

A total of 232 golfers took part in the Championships sponsored by N. Ranga Rao & Sons, Mysuru.

Strokeplay Gross – 36 Holes: M Chirayu (148 Gross) – Winner; Shridhar Singh (150 Gross) – Runner.

Strokeplay Net (H/C 0 to 12) – 36 Holes: Deepak Kumar Jain (138 Net) – Winner; Sonam Chugh (143 Net) – Runner.

Strokeplay Net (H/C 13 to 18) – 36 Holes: K.K. Nandan (137 Net) – Winner; Dhananjay Basavaraj (140 Net) – Runner (Better Back 9 Over N. Nandisha & Dr. T.V. Ramesh).

Stableford Net (H/C 0 to 18) – 36 Holes: Dr. T.V. Ramesh  (73 Points) – Winner; K.L. Jayaprakash (72 Points) – Runner (Better Back 9 Over Jagadish Gowda).

Stableford Gross – 18 Holes: V. Prakash (29 Gross) – Winner; B.S. Krishna (28 Gross) – Runner (Better Back 6 Over M.G. Chengappa).

Stableford Net (H/C 19 to 24) – 18 Holes: Vivek Bhat (42 Points) – Winner; K. Shankar (41 Points) – Runner.

Stableford Net (H/C 0 to 30) – 18 Holes – For Ladies: Nainika V. Kumar (37 Points) – Winner.

Longest Drive – 14th  Hole: Vivek V. Bhat (245 Yards) – Winner.

Nearest to the Pin – 15th Hole: Mahesh D. Chinnaswamy (2 Feet 7 Inches) – Winner.
