March 13, 2025

Mysuru: Devaraja Police have registered two separate cheating cases against city businessman Pradeep Singh, who runs a business on Devaraj Urs Road.

According to the complaint lodged by one Razia Khanum of Bengaluru, Pradeep had borrowed her second-hand Fortuner SUV for his personal use from her brother-in-law (a friend of Pradeep), who was using it. Razia had bought the SUV after taking a loan of Rs. 21 lakh from a finance firm.

In Nov. 2024, Pradeep had borrowed the SUV to take his family on a pilgrimage but did not return it. Even his mobile phone is not accessible, Razia has stated in her complaint adding that the original documents were kept in the SUV itself.

In the second case, Syed Saleem of N.R. Mohalla has lodged a complaint against Pradeep accusing him of not giving the chit amount of Rs. 20 lakh.

Devaraja Inspector Raghu, who has registered both the cases, is investigating.
