Mysuru: A.K. Gupta, General Manager (GM), South Western Railway (SWR), conducted a surprise inspection of Hubballi Railway Station on Sept. 1 to get first-hand account of catering and cleaning service provided at the Railway Station.
During this inspection, Gupta also checked cleanliness in the coaches and toilets in Train No.16507 Bhagat Ki Kothi- Bengaluru Express and Train No.16591, Hubballi-Mysuru Hampi Express.
During the catering units check, he advised the Food Plaza licensee to change the colour scheme and font of rate list so that it is prominently displayed to passengers. He also advised licensee of Cell Kitchen at improve the lighting arrangement in the kitchen and food packing area. The overall cleanliness of Station was satisfactory.
Later, Gupta inspected the linen care centre at Platform No.1 at Hubballi Railway Station where he checked the quality of blankets and bed sheets being supplied to AC passengers.
R.C. Punetha, Additional Divisional Railway Manager, Hubballi Division; D.L. Chowdary, Chief Rolling Stock Engineer; Anil Pavithran, Chief Commercial Manager; and other officers of Hubballi Division were present during Gupta’s visit.
