Mysore/Mysuru: Additional Director General of Police (ADGP – Grievances and Human Rights) Devajyoti Ray has ordered an increase in the annual health check-up allowance for Police personnel from Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 1,500.

The Police personnel can undergo various health check-ups including Blood Pressure (BP), Blood and Urine Sugar Test, Kidney Function Test, Ultrasound Test, ECG, Cholesterol Test, Liver Function Test, Ophthalmic Test, Chest X-Ray, Echo Cardiogram and Physician consultation among other tests.

Unit heads will transfer the medical fees directly to the hospitals and cash will not be given to the Police personnel.

The ADGP has also instructed to record the medical check-up reports in the Health Column without fail.
