Governor visits Suttur Mutt, plants sapling

Mysuru: Ahead of the grand Dasara procession, Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot visited Suttur Mutt at the foot of Chamundi Hill here yesterday and sought the blessings of Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji.

Gehlot, who visited the Mutt before proceeding to the Torch- light Parade Grounds in Bannimantap, planted a tree sapling in the Mutt premises  under ‘Ek Paudha Maa Ke Naam’ initiative.

Later, the Governor sought the blessings of the Seer and conversed with him for some time, before leaving for Bannimantap Parade Grounds.

JSS Mahavidyapeetha Secretary-1 S.P. Manjunath, Executive Secretary Dr. C.G. Betsurmath and others were present.
