Mysore/Mysuru: The Kannada and Culture Department has invited applications from children and youngsters, for Kala Pratibhotsava 2025-26 competition organised in the district.

The competition will be held in the following categories:

Bala Pratibhe: For children in the age group of 8-14 years, competitions like classical dance, light music, drawing, folk songs, Karnatak/ Hindustani instruments, Karnatak/ Hindustani classical vocal solo competitions have been organised.

Kishora Pratibhe: For children in the age group of 14-18 years, competitions like classical dance, light music, drawing, folk songs, Karnatak/ Hindustani instruments, Karnatak/ Hindustani vocal solo competitions have been organised.

Yuva Pratibhe: For youngsters in the age group of 18-30 years, competitions like oratory on the topic (My Favourite Littérateur), classical dance,  light music, drawing, folk songs, Karnatak/ Hindustani instruments, Karnatak/ Hindustani vocal solo competitions and Drama contest (group) have been organised.

The first, second and third prize winners at the district-level will be eligible to participate in zonal-level competitions, followed by State-level.

No cash prize will be given to the winners in district and zonal-level, while travel allowance will be given to the winners in zonal and State-level competitions. The schedule of district-level competitions will be intimated later.

The top three winners at the State-level will be given cash prize in the order of Rs. 15,000, Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 7,500, along with a certificate.

The team members in group competitions should be minimum 10 and maximum 15. The first three winners in final round of competitions, will be rewarded with cash prize  of Rs. 50,000, Rs. 40,000 and Rs. 30,000 respectively, along with a certificate.
