Special workshop on defence journalism

Alpha Lead Academy, a prestigious defence exam training centre in the district, will be organising a special workshop on defence columns and articles for the journalists (Reporters, Editors & Columnists) of Mysuru at the Academy premises on Dec.16 at 11 am. This workshop will be conducted by Group Captain AbhinavChaturvedi (Retd.), Founder of Alpha Lead Academy, Bannur Road, Mysuru and a retired Air Force Officer, who will discuss on embedded media with the defence sector and a whole range of topics like how to write columns and articles on defence, what are the rules and regulations, what can and cannot be reported/written.

Two journalists from each newspaper at Mysuru can participate in this workshop. “Field Marshal K.M. Cariappa Best Defence Journalist” award and a cash prize will be awarded on Jan. 26 (Republic Day) and Aug.15 (Independence Day) to the journalist or columnist who writes and publishes the article and column in any newspapers.
