How should ‘Lok Spandana’ system actually work?

June 2, 2026

Mysuru, June 2 (KS)- The ‘Lok Spandana’ public feedback mechanism enables citizens to rate their experience at Police Stations through a station-specific QR code.

After completing their work at a Police station, visitors are expected to scan the dynamic QR code displayed on the premises using their smartphones.

The scan opens a structured feedback form containing around 14 questions covering various aspects of service delivery.

Citizens can assess parameters such as the conduct and courtesy of Police personnel, responsiveness to requests, quality of service and the overall functioning of the Police Station.

They can also provide ratings and additional comments based on their experience.

Once submitted, the feedback is transmitted directly to senior officers, including the Mysuru City Police Commissioner and the respective Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs).

Police officials use the feedback to identify areas requiring improvement, initiate                                          corrective action against erring personnel and recognise officers who provide citizen-friendly service.

Here at Metagalli Police Station, however, the Policemen are discouraging citizens and themselves entering the feedback, defeating the very purpose of the initiative.
