MCC launches ‘Green Property Tag’ initiative

Mysuru, June 3 (VNS)- Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) has launched ‘Green Property Tag’ initiative to encourage environmental conservation, sustainable urban development and eco-friendly lifestyles.
As part of this initiative, MCC has invited applications from residential properties, commercial establishments, educational institutions and other properties who have adopted environmental sustainable practices to be provided with the Green Tag.
In order to get the ‘Green Property Tag’, properties must have fulfilled several categories including segregation of waste into four categories at source, on site processing of wet waste into compost, installation of rain water harvesting system, usage of solar energy, implementation of water conservation and recycling measures and maintenance of greenery and tree cover.
Interested citizens and institutions can register their properties through Google Form https://forms.gle/mm63zdmcXDyW3byA9 before June 4.
Applications will be scrutinised by officials and eligible properties will be awarded ‘Green Property Tag.’ For details, contact MCC Executive Engineer (Environment Section).
