Mysuru-based engineer and architect H. Kishore Chandra and farmer from Vaddaragudi in K.R. Pet K. Madegowda were felicitated with the second annual S.V. Gowdappa Award to mark the 94th birthday of the Chairman of Elder Citizens’ Council & Trust S.V. Mysuru, June 6- The Elder Citizens Council and Trust, Mysuru, jointly felicitated its Chairman S.V. Gowdappa on the occasion of his 94th birthday at its Saraswathi Samudaya Bhavan in Jayalakshmipuram.
Gowdappa, being very active in all social forums, hails from Srirampura village near K.R. Nagar. He studied Engineering in Bengaluru and Davangere and later served the Government, including MUDA (now MDA).
After retirement, he became a member of Rotary and is into several social activities including construction of a Charity Hall for the poor at his native.
To mark his 94th birthday on June 1, Gowdappa himself felicitated H. Kishore Chandra, an Engineer & Architect from Chandra & Chandra Engineers & Architects, Mysuru and K. Madegowda, a progressive farmer from Vaddaragudi in Mandya district.
Sri Someshwaranatha Swamiji of Adichunchanagiri Mutt, Mysuru branch, graced the event. Vice-President of Infosys Development Centre, Mysuru, Vinayaka Hegde was the chief guest. Dr. H.M. Nagaraju, Council President, presided.
K.S. Krishna, N.K. Ramachandre Gowda, K.V. Ramanath, Javare Gowda, Shridhar Nanjaiah, V.N. Achar Venkateshaiah and others were present.
