Mysuru, June 6 – Following reports in a section of the press that the Chamundi Hill Development Authority has done away with Rs.50 entry ticket to the Hill temple, the Chamundeshwari Hill Development Authority (officially the Shree Chamundeshwari Kshetra Development Authority) has clarified that the Rs. 50 entry ticket counter has been restarted after a brief halt due to technical reasons.
In a press release issued yesterday, the Authority Secretary M.J. Roopa said that the Rs.50 entry ticket to the Hill temple was temporarily halted due to technical reason. But during this period, a section of the media spread false news that Rs. 50 entry ticket has been scrapped which has inconvenienced the devotees. But after a brief period, the Rs.50 entry ticket counter has started functioning as usual, she said adding that devotees should not get confused over false reports.
