Mysuru: Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar (DKS) will release the book titled ‘Education: An Overview of Formal, Open and Distance Learning,’ authored by Dr. N.S. Ramegowda, former Vice-Chancellor, Karnataka State Open University (KSOU), at a programme to be held at KSOU Convocation Hall in city on June 20 at 11 am.

The event is organised under the aegis of KSOU’s Dean Academic Section and Centre for Internal Quality Assurance.

Dr. Sri Nirmalanandanatha Swamiji of Adichunchanagiri Mutt and Swami Muktidanandaji of Sri Ramakrishna Ashram will grace the occasion.

Former KSOU Dean Prof. Chambi Puranik will speak about the book. Former KSOU and University of Mysore VC Prof. K.S. Rangappa will be the guest of honour. KSOU VC Prof. Sharanappa V. Halse will preside.

A colloquium on ‘From Access to Excellence – The Future Pathways of Distance Education’ will also be held on the occasion.
