Mysuru: Mysuru is all set to witness a T20 cricket extravaganza as the fifth season of the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 gets underway at SDNR Wadiyar KSCA Stadium in Manasagangothri from tomorrow.
The city will host the first leg of the tournament from June 20 to 25. A total of 12 matches will be played during the six-day event, with two matches scheduled each day. First match will begin at 2 pm, followed by second at 7 pm.

Six teams, Bengaluru Blasters, Mysore Warriors, Hubli Tigers, Gulbarga Mystics, Shivamogga Yodhas and Coastal Kings Mangaluru, will battle for the title.
The inaugural ceremony will be attended by Pramoda Devi Wadiyar of the erstwhile Mysore royal family, former BCCI President Roger Binny, University of Mysore Vice-Chancellor Prof. N.K. Lokanath and Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) President Venkatesh Prasad.
The opening match tomorrow will see Bengaluru Blasters take on Gulbarga Mystics at 2 pm. The second match of the day will feature Mysore Warriors against Shivamogga Yodhas.

The KSCA has made arrangements for around 5,000 spectators to watch the matches. Unlike last year, spectators will be allowed entry to the stadium.

Tickets for the matches are available online and are priced at Rs. 100, Rs. 200 and Rs. 250. Fans can purchase tickets through the District by Zomato platform https://www.district.in/events/

Entry to Stadium
As white-topping works are underway on Bogadi Main Road, entry to Manasagangothri campus will be through the main gates opposite SJCE and the gate near Kukkarahalli Lake entrance on Open Air Theatre Road.

Prize purse
The winning franchise will receive a cash prize of Rs. 15 lakh, while runners-up will take home Rs. 10 lakh. The losing semi-finalists will be get Rs. 5 lakh each.

The ‘Player of the Tournament’ will receive Rs. 1 lakh, while the ‘Best Batter’, ‘Best Bowler’ and ‘Best Fielder’ will be awarded Rs. 75,000 each. The ‘Player of the Match’ in every game will receive Rs. 25,000.
