50% rebate on traffic fines: District Police collect over Rs. 1.82 lakh in 3 days

Mysuru: Following the implementation of the 50 percent rebate on pending traffic fines announced by the State Government from June 21 to July 10, the District Police have collected a total of Rs. 1,82,250 fine in 726 cases from June 21 to 23.  

Interestingly, fines for one bike with 36 cases and another bike with 27 cases have                             also been collected. 

On June 21, the Police collected Rs. 73,500 in 292 cases; on June 22, 140 cases were closed and Rs. 35,000 fine collected and on June 23, the District Police collected Rs. 73,750 fine in 726 cases. 

Motorists with pending traffic violation cases can pay 50 percent of the actual fine amount using KSPS app, at Karnataka One Centres or at any of the Traffic Police Stations.
