Second Edition of Kodava Hockey Premier League  

Mysuru: Anjigeri Naad outclassed Coorg Titans 2-1 to emerge as the champions of Season-2 Kodava Hockey Premier League (KHPL) organised by Mysuru Kodava Samaja Youth Wing at Chamundi Vihar Hockey Stadium here yesterday.

Kuppanda Somaiah converted the penalty corner into a goal to take Anjigeri Naad to 1-0 lead. This was followed by another goal from Mathanda Aryan Uthappa which sealed the victory for the champion team. For Coorg Titans, Desh Poovaiah scored the only  consolidated goal.

Meanwhile, in the third place play-off, last year’s winners Pale Taluk defeated Kakot Strikers 2-1. While Nachappa and Dechakka scored for Pale Taluk, Poonacha scored a goal for Kakot Strikers converting a penalty corner.  

Kodava Samaja Mysuru President Ponjanda A. Ganapathy, Vice-President Machimada P. Nanaiah, Mysuru Kodava Samaja Cultural and Sports Club President Machanda Prakash, Hockey Mysore President Konganda Dilip Biddappa, Vice-President Kotera Muddaiah, Kodava Samaja Youth Wing President Hanchettira Varun Nanjappa and others were present during the prize distribution ceremony.
