Mysuru: Swami Muktidanandaji, President of Sri Ramakrishna Ashram, Mysuru, has said that those who involve themselves in service-oriented activities, apart from focusing on enriching their knowledge, will definitely progress in their life.
Swami Muktidanandaji was addressing the gathering during National Doctor’s Day celebrations organised by Spatika Health and Education Trust and SBM Sneha Balaga Trust at Gokulam Samskruthika Bhavan in the city recently. The doctors were felicitated and the toppers of SSLC and II PUC were conferred with Pratibha Puraskar on the occasion.
“Students should shape their lives to derive knowledge, which was also propagated by Swami Vivekananda. Those who focus more on acquiring knowledge shall definitely prosper in their life. It is equally important to be oriented towards society by shedding selfishness,” Swami Muktidanandaji said.
“India is built on the repository of knowledge, which can be analysed through sanatan culture. Apart from suitably managing personal life, if we involve in social activities, it is like offering to the God. As Vivekananda has said, one should serve for the development of the society. Hence the doctors are being felicitated on this day,” Swami Muktidanandaji said.
Dr. T.A. Veena, Dr. Vaman Rao Bapat, Dr. K.S. Sadananda, Medical Superintendent, Sri Jayadeva Hospital, Mysuru, Dr. Rajkumar Wadhwa, Dr. Haridas Upadhya, Dr. C. Suhas, Dr. G. Adarsh and Dr. L. Nischal Raj were felicitated on the occasion. President of SBM Sneha Balaga Trust and former Corporator SBM Manju presided over the event.
