Mysuru: The 4th District Level Cycle Polo Championship, organised by Karnataka Cycle Polo Association, was held at the ground located opposite to University of Mysore Gautham Hostel at Manasagangothri here yesterday.

The tournament was inaugurated by M.N. Nataraj, Karnataka State Director and Southern States Regional Director (retd.) for the Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS), Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India.

Speaking on the occasion, Nataraj expressed his confidence of Cycle Polo becoming one of the popular sports in the country in the coming years.

Cycle Polo teams from Mysuru, H.D. Kote and Hunsur took part in the championship. Suvarna Belaku Foundation President S. Mahesh, Karnataka Cycle Polo Association’s Akshay, Ramanjaneya Reddy, Central Academy Director Sridevi Reddy, Polo Association Secretary Dr. Vijayalakshmi &a Joint Secretary Gururaj Joshi were present.
