HOPCOMS upset for not being involved in Dasara

Mysuru: The District Horticultural Producers’ Co-operative Marketing and Processing Society Ltd. (HOPCOMS), which supplies fresh vegetables to thousands of households, is upset for not being involved in Dasara festivities organised on a large scale by the Government.  

In a letter to Mysuru District Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa, Suryakumar, the President of District HOPCOMS has said that though HOPCOMS has a jurisdiction of 7 taluks in Mysuru district, it has not been considered for Dasara this year.

The Society, with over 4,000 members and that has a centrally located office near Curzon Park, has not got its due in Dasara celebrations, Suryakumar said and urged the District Minister to intervene and direct the authorities to involve HOPCOMS in Dasara festivities.

He has warned of protests if the demand is not considered.
