Bus topples in Nanjangud: Arms of four passengers severed, many injured

 The arms of four passengers were severed, two suffered fractured arm, while several other passengers sustained minor injuries when a KSRTC Rajahamsa bus toppled while trying to take a turn near Golur Circle in the wee hours this morning.

The Police said that the bus, carrying 48 passengers, was travelling towards Bengaluru from Tirchy when the driver tried to take a steep turn resulting in the accident. On receiving the information, Nanjangud Rural Police rushed to the spot and lifted the bus using a crane and later shifted the injured to KR Hospital in Mysuru. Relatives of the injured were informed through passengers mobile phones.

Speaking to reporters, Idayat, 48, who suffered a broken hand, said that the bus had to reach Benglauru at 7 pm and added that it was travelling in high speed and suddenly IT toppled.

Nanjangud Rural Police have registered a case and investigating.
