Mysuru: Deeksha J. Honnushree will lead the U-23 Mysuru Zone Women’s team at the KSCA U-23 Women’s Inter-Zonal Tournament starting from today (Oct. 1) in Bengaluru.

Meanwhile, V. Veda Varshini has been appointed as the Vice Captain of the team.

Mysuru Zone will face Shivamogga Zone in their opening match of the tournament today.

A total of eight teams including President XI, Vice President XI, Shivamogga Zone, Dharwad Zone, Tumakuru Zone, Mysuru Zone, Raichur Zone and Mangaluru Zone will be taking part in the tournament.

Meanwhile, both Deeksha and Veda Varshini have been named in the probable list of senior women’s team to represent Karnataka in the BCCI Senior Women’s Tournament.
