India F4 Futures Men’s Tennis Tournament: Suraj, Vasisht advance

City’s tennis players Suraj R. Prabodh and C. Vasisht taking part in the $15,000 ITF India F4 Futures Tennis Tournament 2017 at Bhilai Steel Plant Tennis Complex, Bhilai yesterday won their respective first round men’s singles matches and sailed into the second round.

Wild card entrant Suraj R. Prabodh beat qualifier Abhinasu Borthakur 6-2, 1-0 (retd.), while C. Vasisht beat Himanshu Mourya 6-0, 6-0 in the first round matches and entered the second round in the men’s singles event.
