St. Joseph’s Central wins RCLA quiz

Mysuru: Rotary Children’s Library Association (RCLA) conducted many competitions for children of various schools in Mysuru to commemorate the completion of 60 years of its service.

The valedictory function held at Rotary Auditorium, next to Mandovi Motors, KRS Road, witnessed a quiz competition which was presided by  Chandragupt V. Jain, a well- known Entrepreneur and Businessman.  The following students from various schools won prizes for essay, elocution and quiz competitions.

Essay-Kannada: K.S. Siri Bharadwaj – 1st prize, Amrita Vidyalayam; T. Grace Sharone – 2nd prize, St. Joseph’s Central School; R.P.  Sharanya – 3rd prize, Hari Vidyalaya; H. Uttam Nayak – Encouragement prize, Marimallappa’s  School, B.V. Skanda Datta – Encouragement prize, IJRS.

Essay-English: Unnathi M. Iyengar – 1st prize, St. Joseph’s Central School; M.D. Lekha – 2nd prize, Teresian Girls High School; N. Sharanya Sharma – 3rd prize, Amrita Vidyalayam; P. Swathi –  Encouragement prize, St. Joseph’s High School, Jayalakshmipuram; B.K. Laasya – Encouragement prize, Marimallappa’s High School.

Elocution: Keerthana -1st prize; IJRS; M. Rhea – 2nd prize,             St. Joseph’s Central; Melvin Vargheese – 3rd prize, De Paul International School; Ashlin Nicole – Encouragement prize, De Paul International School; Pushkar – Encouragement prize, JSS Public School, S. Nagar.

Quiz: Aniketh Bhat and Ridwa Rai -1st prize, St. Joseph’s Central School; Y.S. Dhanya Kumar and K. Poorvi – 2nd prize, JSS Public School; G. Dhruthi and S. Kavya – 3rd prize,          Sadvidya High School; Sanjeet Iyer and Shreya Kashyap – Encouragement prize, Kautilya Vidyalaya.
