Sir,
I was surprised to read what a person of Dr. S. Dandapani’s eminence and experience has to say on ‘the proposed shoot of classroom lectures.’
With the standard of education going down by the day, what with the quality of teaching staff we have today, I (who was a lecturer of Law over 40 years ago, like Dr. Dandapani, if you so wish to compare) thought that the Government’s proposal was a step in the right direction of taking corrective action, in the interest of future generation. But the open expression of opposition and sympathy expressed to the present day teaching staff, if subjected to such a move, by no less than an experienced educationist like Dr. Dandapani, is disheartening and prejudiced, to say the least.
I do hope that Government of the day does not retract merely because of some opposition, here and there but go ahead in implementing such new ideas in the larger interest of the society of the day and the future generation.
