Dr. Baragur Ramachandrappa inaugurates Seminar on ‘Kuvempu’

Mysuru: Kuvempu Institute of Kannada Studies (KIKS) had organised a National Seminar on ‘Kuvempu Sahitya-Samskruthi Anusandhana’ at B.M. Sri auditorium in Manasagangothri here this yesterday.

Inaugurating the programme, writer Dr. Baragur Ramachandrappa said that a critic should not function as a lawyer while analysing a literary work.

Referring to the present scenario, Dr. Ramachandrappa regretted that jayantis of great personalities were being classified under a particular caste.

He added that even a Chair established in any University should do meaningful work.

Mysore University Acting Vice-Chancellor Dr. Aisha M. Shariff presided. KIKS Director Dr. N.M. Talawar, Prof. C.P. Siddashrama, writer Ramegowda and others were present.
