Bengaluru: Prime Minister Narendra Modi yesterday wished Karnataka Chief Minister and veteran BJP leader B.S. Yediyurappa on his 77th birthday. Modi hailed Yediyurappa as a ‘hardworking’ Chief Minister and wished him long life and good health.

“Birthday greetings to Karnataka’s hardworking CM BSYBJP Ji. He is passionately working for the State’s progress, especially on farmer welfare and rural development. I pray for his long life and good health,” the Prime Minister tweeted.

Union Ministers like Nirmala Sitharaman and Nitin Gadkari among others also joined in wishing Yediyurappa on his big day. Even rivals such as former PM H.D. Deve Gowda and former CM H.D. Kumaraswamy set aside their bitter past to wish Yediyurappa.
