Sri Thyagaraja Sangeetha Sabha Charitable Trust will be organising two classical music concerts in memory of Venu Vidwan A.V. Prakash this weekend (Mar. 15 and 16) at 6 pm at Sri Vidyabharathi Prarthana Mandira, Sri Chandramouleeshwara Temple, V.V. Mohalla, Musuru.
Mar. 15: Veena recital by Vidu. Aishwarya Manikarnike supported by Vid. A. Radhesh on mridanga and Vid. Dheemantha Bhatta on ghata.
Mar. 16: Flute recital by Vid. L.V. Mukund. Vid. Vaibhava Ramani, Vid. H.L. Shivashankar Swamy and Vid. M.R. Manjunath will provide instrumental support on violin, mridanga and ghata respectively.

Artistes’ Profile
Aishwarya Manikarnike is a talented veena artiste hailing from a family of musicians and has been trained by her grandmother, Karnataka Kalashree Veena Vidu. M.K. Saraswathi. She had won a prize in the AIR national music competition. Presently, an A grade artiste of AIR, Aishwarya has won the ‘Best Instrumentalist’ prize in the Spirit of Youth concert competitions conducted by the Madras Music Academy
L.V. Mukund is one of the leading flautists in Karnataka today. His mother is from the famous ‘Belakavadi’ family who were Asthana Vidwans of the Mysore Royal Family. He had his early lessons in music from his mother Vidu.Radha Vijayaraghavan and later, under Vid. Prapancham Balachandran. He also learnt intricate aspects of vocal music from his maternal grandfather, Vid. Belakavadi Rangaswamy Iyengar. Later, he learnt advanced flute lessons from the legendary flautist, Padma Shri Dr. N. Ramani.
