Mysore/Mysuru: Noted danseuse of the city Dr. Kripa Phadke, who has recently been appointed as the President of Karnataka Sangeetha Nritya Academy, said that men and women are like the two sides of the same coin in the society.
She was speaking after inaugurating the award presentation ceremony organised jointly by Mysuru District Kannada Sahitya Parishat and Uttishta Bharat Pratishtana, as part of International Women’s Day celebrations at Kannada Sahitya Bhavan in Vijayanagar here on Friday.
Stating that every woman born in this earth is good, Dr. Phadke said that women have often shown that they can achieve anything provided they are given an opportunity. However, women should distinguish between freedom and a chaste life, as doing so will help in leading a smooth and purposeful life.
