Abhiyenthararu to host five-day Rashtriya Ranga Utsava from Feb. 28

City-based ‘Abhiyenthararu – A Theatre For Engineers,’ in association with Ministry of Culture, New Delhi, will be organising a five-day Rashtriya Ranga Utsava (National Theatre Festival) from Feb. 28 to Mar. 3 at Kirurangamandira (Mini Theatre) in Kalamandira premises.

The Theatre Festival will be inaugurated by Playwright and Litterateur Dr. K.Y. Narayanaswamy at 6.30 pm on Feb. 28. Department of Kannada and Culture Joint Director V.N. Mallikarjunaswamy and Assistant Director Dr. M.D. Sudarshan will be the chief guests. Senior Litterateur Prof. S.G. Siddaramaiah will preside.

Apart from staging of plays at 7 pm on all the five days, the Theatre Festival also features music programmes at Kirurangamandira premises at 6 pm which includes Hindustani vocal recital by Shankar Hugar from Kalaburagi on Mar. 2 and ‘Rangadhare’ by Vivek, Bharat and troupe from Bengaluru on Mar. 3.
