ABVP submits memorandum to DC for re-opening of hostels

July 22, 2021

Mysore/Mysuru: ABVP State Executive Committee Members Nagashree and Shivu have submitted a memorandum to Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dr. Bagadi Gautham seeking resuming all hostels and bus passes for students.

They said all colleges and hostels have remained closed since last three to four months due to second wave of COVID-19 pandemic. The ABVP will welcome the State Government’s decision to re-start all degree and post-graduate courses soon. Since most of the poor and meritorious students are depending on the hostels, the District Administration must direct Departments of Social Welfare, Backward Classes and Minorities to re-open the hostels after thorough cleaning.

The DC was requested to instruct KSRTC authorities regarding the concessional bus passes for students as all the degree colleges are set to re-open soon.
