Mysuru: The 12th ACCE(I) Mysore – UltraTech Awards-2024 ceremony was organised at North Avenue, Hebbal, recently by the Association of Consulting Civil Engineers (India), Mysore Centre and UltraTech Cement Ltd.

This annual event recognises excellence in construction, focusing on well-built residential buildings and exceptional structures from the districts of Mysuru, Mandya, Hassan, Chamarajanagar and Kodagu.

The awards were conferred in different categories following a thorough evaluation of contesting entries with focus on key aspects such as design, innovation, sustainability, structural integrity and aesthetic appeal.

Dr. B.G. Naresh Kumar, a renowned academician, consultant and Trustee of Maharaja Educational Trust  and Principal of Maharaja Institute of Technology, Mysuru, was the chief guest. In his address, he stressed on the importance of maintaining quality in every stage of construction and commended ACCE(I) – Mysore and UltraTech Cement for their commitment.

The awards were adjudicated by a jury of Er. B.V. Nagesh, Principal Consultant, Nagesh Consultants, Bengaluru, Ar. Mueen Haris, Founder & Principal Architect, DS2 Architecture, Bengaluru and Er. K.R. Sathyanarayana, Chief Research Officer (Retd.), KERS, Mysuru.

Awards and categories: Well-Built Residential Building – Mysuru District;  Well-Built Residential Building – Mandya; Well-Built Residential Building – Hassan; Well-Built Residential Building – Chamarajanagar; Well-Built Residential Building – Kodagu; Outstanding Commercial Structure; Outstanding Apartment Structure; Outstanding Infrastructure and Outstanding Sustainable Technology.

Office-bearers from ACCE(I) Mysore, Dr. S. Raviraj – Chairman, Dr. G.P. Chandradhara – Secretary and Dr B.S. Keerthi Gowda – Treasurer, and representatives of UltraTech Er. Punnose P. John, Zonal Head (South) – Technical Services, Er. Raghavendra Desai, Regional Head, Marketing, Er. Ashok Reddy Kollur, Regional Head, Technical, Er. M.B. Dinesh Kumar, Channel Relationship Manager, Mysuru, Territory Sales Heads and Managers from all five districts were present.

Y.J. Breetha, Zonal Coordinator, gave a presentation on UltraTech Cement, highlighting their innovative products and services offered to construction community, according to a press release from ACCE (I), Mysore Centre.
