Accident victim succumbs to injuries

Mysuru: An accident victim, who had suffered serious injuries when an auto rammed into his scooter in front of Mysuru Milk Dairy on Bannur Road and admitted to a private hospital, has succumbed to injuries at the hospital yesterday.

The deceased is Yajaman Shivalingegowda (65), a resident of Megalahatti in Yeraganahalli here. He leaves behind his wife Leelavathi, daughters Gayatri, Ganavi and Gagana.

On Tuesday at about 5 pm, Shivalingegowda was proceeding on his Honda Activa scooter from Nazarbad Police Station Circle towards Yeraganahalli and when he neared Milk Dairy, an autorickshaw rammed into his scooter and sped away.

The seriously injured Shivalingegowda was taken to a private hospital nearby, where he was provided first-aid and was later shifted to another private hospital for further treatment where he breathed his last yesterday. Siddarthanagar Traffic Police have registered a case in this regard.
